Gwawr Thomas defends student protester

Gwawr Thomas recently appeared on behalf of a youth charged with affray, alleged to have taken place during the TUC demonstration in March. Gwawr was able to persuade the prosecutor that the offence of affray was not made out where the defendant's aggression was aimed at property, rather than at a person. In light of this, the Crown accepted a guilty plea to criminal damage, and the defendant was able to avoid a custodial sentence.
