Parveen practises in all aspects of criminal defence work.

Parveen believes in representing the rights of the individual fearlessly and with sensitivity. She prides herself on ensuring that her clients always receive clear, thorough and well-researched advice.

Parveen has been instructed in cases involving multi- handed fraud, people-trafficking, multiple rape, insurance fraud, death by dangerous driving, serious violence, public order offences including football hooliganism, robbery, and drugs importation.

Parveen has been involved in successfully challenging a magistrates’ court decision in relation to autrefois acquit in the High Court by way of judicial review.

Parveen has been led by both silk and leading juniors in cases involving multiple rape and multi-handed banking fraud.

She was instructed in the cases of O v. Stratford Magistrates [2004] EWHC 1553 (Admin.) and R. v. Debbie Street (2005).

Prior to joining Chambers, Parveen fought for those on death row in California. In England, she represented many clients on a voluntary basis before the Social Security Appeal Tribunal and went on to being elected to serve a year as Secretary on the Management Committee of the Free Representation Unit.

Parveen speaks fluent Punjabi and has a very good command of Urdu and Hindi.

Her interests include dance, running, karate, films and reading.
